Example

The following illustrates a case where miscommunication on priorities has created conflict.

”Hey Liam, I’ve noticed we have different ideas about how to prioritize these tasks [Recognize]. I can understand why you might feel that Task A is more urgent given the upcoming deadline [Empathize]. From my perspective, I’m feeling a bit stressed because Task B directly impacts another project that’s also time-sensitive, and I need to ensure we don’t create a bottleneck there [Share]. What are some ways we could look at these priorities together to make sure both deadlines are met without causing too much strain? [Explore] Okay, so we’ve agreed that you’ll focus on the critical path for Task A this morning, and I’ll push forward with Task B, and we’ll check in this afternoon to see if we need to adjust. Does that sound like a plan? [Take-Action]
