Start-Stop-Continue
Gives you a clear way to tell someone what they should start doing, what they should stop, and what's working great that they should keep up.
How to implement

Stop

Continue
Highlight specific actions or behaviors the person is doing well and should continue to do.
Example
”Hey Alex, I wanted to give you some feedback on your contributions to the last project using the Start-Stop-Continue framework.
Start: I think it would be really beneficial if you started to proactively share your initial ideas and thoughts earlier in the project planning phase. Your insights are valuable, and getting them earlier could help shape our strategy more effectively.
Stop: I’ve noticed that sometimes during team meetings, you can interrupt others before they’ve finished speaking. Let’s try to stop that so everyone feels they have a chance to fully express their thoughts.
Continue: I really appreciate how thorough you are in your research and documentation. Please continue to bring that level of detail to your work – it’s a huge asset to the team.”
